AUTOSHOW magazine celebrates 5 years
• On March 15, AUTOSHOW celebrated five years of presence in the Romanian automotive media market.
• The first fortnightly automotive publication
• The 122 issues prove that AUTOSHOW is the leader of automotive media in terms of published quantity of information.

Launched five years ago, AUTOSHOW constantly developed, reaching the top of the automotive media in Romania. The only fortnightly auto magazine, AUTOSHOW became the fastest automotive written media instrument, proving to be the leader through speed of information, dynamic style and capacity of analyzing the auto trends. Finally yet importantly, its success was generated by the close relationship with the readers, created by a direct connection of the published information with the Romanian auto market and with the essential aspects for those in need of purchasing a new car. More than this, AUTOSHOW mission is presenting the newest technologies and trends in the automotive field, with all the features related to performance, safety and car exploit.
Besides the unique speed of information, AUTOSHOW dominates through its editorial structure very well adapted to the Romanian market. Since its first issue, AUTOSHOW developed some sections that are now traditional and that were afterwards taken over by other automotive magazines.
AUTOSHOW is the first Romanian magazine to ever present the prices for new available cars in the same currency (USD and EUR), Cost Insurance Free as well as with all taxes included. The AS index – determined on the basis of the prices for 54 new models imported in Romania – continues to be the only instrument able to detect the smoothest market variations. “Autochilipir”, “Second Hand Focus”, “Autofinantare” and “Ce faci cu banii tai?” sections represented premiers at the time of the magazine launch, very useful to those wanting to buy a car.
The contract with the German company Automedia – one of the most famous companies specialized in spy-photos – offers AUTOSHOW’s readers access to information about a specific model, years before it is officially launched. In addition, the partnership with Euro NCAP, the European consortium unanimous agreed as reference in crash tests field, is another unique success marked by AUTOSHOW.
AUTOSHOW is media partner for the competition “Car of the Year in Romania”, organized by Romanian Auto Press Association (APAR) and Romanian Press Editors and Journalists Union (UZEAR). Starting with the beginning of 2001, AUTOSHOW is media partner for “AUTOBEST among Emerging Markets” contest, organized by a jury consisting of the most important auto journalists from Central and Eastern Europe.
<>The quality of AUTOSHOW’s evaluations is guaranteed by the testing team’s professionalism. The tests are conducted by professor dipl. eng. Mr. Cristian Andreescu, and the evaluations related to cars’ traffic behavior are made by the multiple rally champion, Eugeniu Ionescu-Cristea.
Last but not least, AUTOSHOW imposed in the Romanian auto environment a series of events that in time became traditional. “AUTOSHOW Driver” is an interactive concept for launching a car in the Romanian market. The public and the potential clients have the opportunity of testing the new model in short time after the national premiere. “AUTOSHOW Barbeque” and “AUTOSHOW VIP Karting Cup” are two annual high life events that bring together the most important people in auto industry, VIPs, stars and other relevant characters. Every year AUTOSHOW offers awards that value the performances of automotive operators, as well as “AUTOSHOW Top 50”, a complex classification of the best-adapted cars for Romanian market demands.
